Kaisa Ka NL joins the ‘community pantry’ movement

‘Magbigay batay sa kakayahan. Kumuha ayon sa pangangailangan.’ (From each according to his/her capacity. To each according to his/her need.)

This is the slogan of the community pantry that is currently infecting the country. The project originates in Maginhawa, Quezon City that started with only one makeshift table. Now it numbers around 400 nationwide … and growing. The sprouting of community pantries is an inspiration and offers hope amidst helplessness and hopelessness.

Kaisa Ka NL, YouWIn and Youth for Nationalism and Democracy (YND) NL are proud to join the community pantry movement of love, hope and inspiration. Now on its second day, our Mobile Community Pantry is hoping to deliver goods to the most needy. We also draw strength and inspiration from ordinary folks who, despite being in the margins, still manage to donate goods and what little cash they have.
